Airports & airfields in Germany
- Approx. 400 operational airports and airfields are available in Germany
- Less than 40 airports have the capacity to accommodate landings of large civil aircraft or handle high passenger volumes
- More than 350 airfields provide point-to-point connections, which results in significantly shorter travel times
Significance for urban & regional air mobility
- In addition to inner-city air traffic, urban air mobility will enable fast connections to airfields in the metropolitan area
- Regional air mobility uses existing infrastructure and will drastically improve the accessibility of regions without major airports
